About

Norah Jones is an American singer-songwriter and musician of Indian heritage — the daughter of the legendary sitar maestro Ravi Shankar. Her debut album Come Away with Me (2002) became one of the bestselling albums of the 21st century, selling over 26 million copies worldwide.

Come Away with Me won eight Grammy Awards at the 2003 ceremony, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Best New Artist — one of the most decorated album launches in Grammy history. Her gentle, jazz-inflected sound and soulful voice defined a new genre of adult contemporary music.

She has since released multiple critically acclaimed albums and collaborated with artists ranging from Willie Nelson to Outkast and Foo Fighters. She is one of the most successful female solo artists in music history, with total album sales exceeding 50 million worldwide.
