The landmark 10th edition of The Asian Awards will take place at the Fairmont Hotel, Mumbai in September 2026 — bringing the awards to Asia for the first time in the event's history. The 10th edition marks a new chapter for the awards, which will now travel across Asia annually.
The Asian Awards has secured a groundbreaking multi-million dollar investment paving the way for the event to be hosted across various Asian countries including India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar over the next five years.
The 9th Asian Awards celebrated outstanding achievement with winners including Business Leader of the Year Anand Burman, Nitin Sawhney CBE (Music), Jay Shetty (Outstanding Achievement Online), Professor Jim Al-Khalili OBE (Science & Technology) and the Crazy Rich Asians film (Cinema).
At the 9th ceremony, The Asian Awards honoured the Martyrs of Jalianwala Bagh with the prestigious Founders Award, marking the centenary of the tragic massacre of 13 April 1919 when British troops opened fire on unarmed civilians in Amritsar, Punjab.
The 8th Asian Awards took place on 27th April 2018. Winners included Arundhati Bhattacharya (Business Leader), Jahangir Khan (Sport), BTS (Music), Anita Rani (Television), Sridevi (Cinema), Pratibha Gai (Science & Technology) and Sunny Varkey (Entrepreneur of the Year).
The 7th Asian Awards took place on 5th May 2017. Winners included Ajay Banga (Business Leader), Ding Junhui (Sport), Adnan Sami (Music), Krishnan Guru-Murthy (Television), Om Puri (Cinema), Demis Hassabis (Science & Technology) and Masayoshi Son (Entrepreneur of the Year). The Fellowship Award was presented to Sachin Tendulkar.
The 6th Asian Awards took place on 8th April 2016. Winners included Osman Yousefzada, Sri Prakash Lohia, Son Heung-Min, Naughty Boy, Kunal Nayyar, Asif Kapadia, Shuji Nakamura, Rami Ranger, Vikram Patel, Anil Agarwal. The Founders Award was presented posthumously to Mother Teresa.
The 5th Asian Awards broke records when #TheAsianAwards trended at Number 1 worldwide on social media for over three hours — generating over 9 billion impressions, a record for a non-western event. The ceremony was held on 17th April 2015 at Grosvenor House, London.

Winners included Sir David Tang, Gok Wan, Irrfan Khan, Norah Jones, Dr Cyrus Poonawalla, MS Dhoni, Salil Shetty, Lui Che Woo, Sir Venkatraman Ramakrishnan and Ahmed Kathrada. The Fellowship Award was presented to Jackie Chan.
The 3rd Asian Awards honoured outstanding achievement with winners including Hanif Kureishi, Nina Wadia, Anupam Kher, Nicole Scherzinger, Jiang Jianqing, Kamui Kobayashi, Narayana Murthy, Masa Kogure, Adi Godrej, Ajay Bhatt and Ravi Ruia. The Founders Award was presented to Bruce Lee and the Fellowship to Sir Ben Kingsley.
The 2nd Asian Awards recognised outstanding achievement with winners including Russell Peters, Meera Syal OBE, Akshay Kumar, Jay Sean, Anand Mahindra, Muthiah Muralidaran, Irene Khan, Shiv Nadar, Bunker Roy and K P Singh. The Founders Award was presented to Freddie Mercury and the Fellowship to Ravi Shankar.
The first ever Asian Awards ceremony was held on 26th October 2010 at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London, presented by Lord Sebastian Coe KBE. The historic inaugural ceremony honoured Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla, George Alagiah OBE, Yash Chopra, A.R. Rahman, Ratan Tata, Sachin Tendulkar, Zarin Patel, Sunil Mittal, Professor Muhammad Yunus, Dr Vijay Mallya and Amitabh Bachchan.
